Six Years In: Why We Became Caydo

I started Your Sales Co on my own, six years ago, driven by one thing: helping sales teams realise the potential that was already sitting inside them. Today, that business is Caydo.

Where it started: sales training and enablement

At the time I was working with sales leaders and business owners who knew their people could do more, but didn't quite have the framework, the enablement, or the strategic direction to get there.

I loved that work, and I still do.

The gap underneath: leads nobody had time to work

Three years in, something became obvious. Training worked. Teams closed more, sold better, understood their market more clearly.

But there was a gap sitting just underneath all of it: a backlog of leads, contacts and interest that nobody had the capacity to work through. A trained team with a full CRM and no hands to run down every contact in it is still a team leaving revenue on the table.

That's what became our lead development service, born directly out of what clients kept asking for. It's carried real results everywhere we've taken it since, and it's the reason this business now has a team rather than just me.

Why "Your Sales Co" no longer fit

Somewhere in the last couple of years, this business became bigger than any single name we were using for it. When we were introduced in a room, it was either as me, Harriet, or as Your Sales Co, and neither quite carried what we'd actually built.

Your Sales Co said "your sales partner," which was true enough when it was training and enablement. It didn't say lead development, it didn't say data, and it didn't say the discipline underneath all of it that actually produces results.

So we went looking for a name that would say what we do and why we do it, one that could hold its own in the room where a CMO or a VP of sales is deciding who to trust with their pipeline.

Why Caydo: the meaning behind the name

Caydo is the one that landed, and it landed because of what it sounds like: cadence. A steady, consistent rhythm, held for long enough that persistence turns into results.

It’s how the work gets done, in the tens of thousands of calls a year that surface what's actually working in a market, in the follow-up that happens on day two and day twelve and day thirty, not just day one.

If Your Sales Co was your sales partner, Caydo is your cadence partner. It's who you go to for lead development. It's who you go to for strategy, enablement and to get the results.

It's who you go to to actually understand the data sitting underneath your pipeline, not just the meetings booked at the top of it.

The opportunity already sitting in your CRM

That's really the heart of what's changed, beyond the name.

We're not just a sales organisation. We're on a mission to help organisations see that the opportunity they're chasing is very often already sitting in their own CRM, not only out there in net-new logos. Whether that's a campaign list, a lead magnet download, a webinar attendee list, or a trade show scan, whether it's twenty thousand contacts or five hundred, that list is where we go to work. Reactivating dormant leads in your CRM is where lead development delivers some of its fastest wins.

A more data-driven business: custom CRM and ISO 27001

Over six years in, we know more than we did when we started, about who we are, about the impact we actually have, and about the clients we want more of. Part of that has meant becoming a more data-driven business ourselves.

In the last six months we've launched our own custom CRM, purpose-built for the way we work rather than adapted from someone else's.

We're working with global vendors across global contracts now, and we're partway through our ISO 27001 accreditation, which isn't a small undertaking for a business our size, but it matters to us, because the organisations we work with are trusting us with their pipeline and their data, and that trust has to be earned properly.

What changes for clients (and what doesn't)

None of that changes what you'll get if you work with us. It just means the discipline underneath it is more visible, and more provable, than it's ever been.

The name is new. The mission underneath it isn't: a steady, honest cadence of work that turns dormant interest into real pipeline, reported on properly.

Six years ago this started with one person trying to help sales teams do more with what they already had. Today it's a team doing the same thing at a scale I couldn't have managed alone, under a name that finally says what we actually do.

We're Caydo now. Good to have you here for it.
